How Do You Find Forgiveness When Your Tinnitus Was Caused by Another Person/Source?

      Cause of Tinnitus:
      Unknown
      Perhaps. I had some sensitivity to loud sounds before getting tinnitus, so maybe a year long break from headphones and loud places will help. Right now the distortion of sounds/ear fullness (hyperacusis?) are worse than the tinnitus itself.

      I agree. Forgiveness does take time. Sometimes, a very long time.

      Bad or sad memories can retain an emotional charge to the point that we re-feel and react emotionally to them every time they come to mind. Depending on the nature of them and degree of emotional discomfort and suffering they cause will determine to a large degree how long it takes to not be adversely affected by them.

      Perhaps it is only time that can make those memories fade to the point where we can forgive. Whether it be ourselves or someone else.

      Yeah, but the emphasis is on when you see a doctor NOW. All too late. For both you, me and many others.

      I'm never going to forgive.

      I know this will make things harder for me to live a 'better' life now though.
