How Long to Wait for a Referral?

I was wondering how long I should wait for a referral before assuming that something didn't go through.
It's been about 15 business days, which isn't too long, but as I'm going back to school soon I'd just like an idea for timing.

Call up the doctor's office and rattle some cages. Hell, with all my referrals if I didn't hear from someone in under 5 business days I was on the phone raising holy hell. When it comes to tinnitus no one is going to go to bat for you. You have to get the ball rolling and keep it rolling yourself. It sucks but that's how it is.
