How much does it help you to know that other people are experiencing this awful ear illness like you are going through now?

It helps me a great deal especially after going from one doctor to another feeling like I'm going nuts and even more so when the doctor is an ahole.

In the middle of the night is when it is the toughest for me coping wise but now I can come here and read that I am NOT alone in all of this.

I keep thinking of my poor Mom and what she went through without being able to access the internet for some guidance and support. We are lucky in that way, very lucky.

My best friend has had tinnitus for like 10 years. He's given me some guidance as I'm sure his ears are a mess. He's not really bothered by it and gives me hope I can get there too... hopefully I won't need to wait 10 years.

I have a few friends that have T. It's kinda nice to talk to people that know what I am going through. It also helps that these people have adjusted and learned to live with it.

It is helpful to learn from others what had worked for them, and what had caused spikes for them. If not for that, I would not mind being the only one on Earth with T.

It is helpful to know other people with t. because we understand each other. We can exchange information on what has (y) and hasn't helped (n), we can encourage each other, ask questions, give answers, make friends :beeranimation:, pray for one :angelic: another, and some can even argue  and get mad at each other. Right @JohnAdams. (just kiddin)

Anyways, I am grateful for this forum. There's a whole lot of awesome, great, wonderful, caring people here.

Once...

PS: My mom has t. (severe) and my sister (mild) and my neighbor (severe) who is always checking to see how I am doing. God bless him.

Couldn't say it better. I'm the same. Without this forum I would be lost. I only have 1 friend with tinnitus but we don't talk as much as I would like and none of my family have it. I'm the only one. So it can get lonely when tinnitus does get me down. If it wasn't for members on here who always help me, I don't know how I'd cope without my Tinnitus Talk family. I love every member on here. I class each and everyone of you family so that's a big family;)

It helps to know there are people who have had tinnitus for 30 years on here and they are still living. Not happy they have it, wishing tinnitus didn't exist. But this place is like family. It helps me a great lot. To learn, to cope. People here know more than anyone else, even most Doctors, when it comes to tinnitus.

Glad Tinnitus Talk is here. Blessings to all!

My doctor who I work with when he refers tinnitus patients to contact me sort of makes me feel bad because what do I tell them after all these years with my own tinnitus. What can I say to them? I listen and provide some ideas for relief but there isn't anywhere anymore to send them for help.

My own tips and such have helped them and knowing all these years later I do lead a very productive life most of the time. And there are still times it brings me to my knees.

I so needed a site like this years ago. So now it is one place I can send them for information.

Not a whole lot, personally it tends to make me feel like a wimp. My partner says he finds me talking about my tinnitus more burdensome that his actual tinnitus.
