I would like to know ways of managing the ringing because I don't want to care about it.
I know it sounds a bit stupid, but if you do something in order to get it, I would appreciate your answers.

I struggle with this a lot too. Based on my experience, the harder I try not to think about it the worse it gets!

Distracting myself seems to work the best and always having some kind of background noise so my brain has other things to focus on.

Hi there - I just posted my relaxation method for another lady, and thought I would post it to you, as it may help.

Sit or lay down, with head laying slightly to one side to assist easy breathing

      leave the lips closed

      the teeth apart

      the jaw hanging comfortably

allow the inside of the mouth
and the throat to go quite quite soft

      Be aware of your tongue
      floating gently in water

Ask your tummy to take over your breathing

Allow gentle breathing to take place.
      Breath like a baby.

      ..................................

(There are reflexes in the tummy (Diaphragm)which will instigate an in breath and an out breath for you,
so do no more conscious breathing.
      Breathing just happens.)

      .....................................

Once you are relaxed, repeat (just think)
      your encouraging message.

      For me:
“Easy Dave - hiss is normal....”

      (Eventually you will notice
      your Tinnitus far less.)

      ......................................

      Best wishes
      Dave
      xx

I have hobbies that I use to distract me. I make models , read and play some video games. Its important to have a hobby that engages your mind though.

It's going to take time to not notice it so try to be patient. I'm still working on not hearing mine.

One thing I recommend is to not have the voice in your head saying don't listen to t. Instead, have the voice in your head saying what noises do I hear besides my t. I think by telling ourselves to not listen to t we bring attention to it. I understand there are many different levels of t so please forgive me if your t is very intrusive.

I think the main thing is to relearn your response to it, so that your CNS becomes indifferent. That way, overtime, the perception and reaction part of the equation change, and it’s very possible to reach a stage where it has no negative effect at on you at all. Ways of achieving this include: living your life, giving yourself goals, taking up new hobbies, breaking old routines, doing things that scare you, but are exciting, exercising, eating better, etc

It takes time and you can’t rush it.

WE CAN NOT change the noise in our head,
BUT WE CAN change our perception of it.

      Hiss is normal,”
needs to be registered in our subconscious mind.
      either through:

      Hypnosis
      Meditation
      or Auto-suggestion
      It helped turn me around.

      The proof of the pudding..etc....

Try to imagine that the hiss/noise is perceived
as being so normal, that you don’t even notice it,
      .........would that be okay....?
