Hurricane Induced Tinnitus...

      Cause of Tinnitus:
      Accoustic Trauma
      The hurricanes in the Caribbean have missed my island, but if you are in their path and have tinnitus beware!

      Even if you are sheltering in a secure building, apparently when they pass it can sound like standing next to a freight train or jet engine for 12 hours... so make sure you have really good hearing protection in addition to all your other hurricane preparations.

      Cause of Tinnitus:
      Large caliber rifles&machine guns, +30 years of loud clubs
      I live in an area where typhoons are frequent - it's just very strong winds and rain no way you'd get hearing damage indoors even outdoors with this unless you live ina very poorly built house or something where panels/windows are loose

      Thunderstorms are different though
