I had tinnitus for 3 days, went to the medic and he gave me extraveral and medrol, after 1 day I stopped hearing it. He said also to eat NO salt and no physical work, just rest.

Medrol is methylprednisolone but what is Extraveral??

How did you get your tinnitus in the first place?

Looks like your medic knew his stuff. Good on you. Considered yourself warned of the dangers of noise.

      Extraveral appears to be phenobarbital.

Very interesting. It is sometimes used as an anti-seizure medication.

      http://www.drugs.com/search.php?searchterm=phenobarbital&a=1

"Phenobarbital is in a group of drugs called barbiturates. Phenobarbital slows the activity of your brain and nervous system. Phenobarbital is used to treat or prevent seizures. It is also used short-term to treat insomnia, or as a sedative before surgery."

the most important is medrol, its an oral steroid, but i started to take it 2 days after my ringing so fast action is the only way. i got my ringing from a electrical corn chopper, louder than an artillery gun, didint use protection,so from now on ear plugs for me and no loud music anymore,i got scared half to death, learned my lesson.
