This question is for people that have used drugs such as Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin, Valium, etc. to lower their tinnitus but in which they stopped working for that purpose.

If you stopped them for several months, did they work again to lower tinnitus if you took them again?

I'm not perscribed xanax for tinnitus but from time to time it's not as effective. Honestly it's more effective than any drug for tinnitus. I only take it at night.

Yes, but when i resumed taking clonazepam, i had to double the dose, that's how bad i was.

I have taken xanax and valium and have not noticed any reduction in volumn of my T. What I have noticed is my reaction is less so That is a form of relief. The most relief I have achieved is to keep a busy lifestyle, exercise and nature sounds to sleep with. If I can keep my brain busy the T will drop off into the background and wont even be noticeable. This is a form of habituation that I am still waiting to happen more.
