I suffered a series of 4 or 5 migraines at the onset
I don't remember for sure what year my tinnitus started, but I do remember the events that triggered it.

Migraines run in my family. I had them a lot as a kid and pretty much grew out of them. The year that the tinnitus started, I had 4 or 5 migraines within the span of a week. That is when the ringing started and it has never stopped. My hearing tests fine and I had an MRI that shows nothing out of the ordinary.

The more that I read about people struggling with tinnitus, the more I feel fortunate. My ringing is constant and if I am thinking about it or someone asks about it, I am definitely more aware of it, but for the most part, it doesn't disrupt my daily life or keep me from sleeping.

Don't get me wrong, I would love it if it would stop! I just don't think that is going to happen.

I found this group while searching the internet for sound therapy info.
