      If you are assuming it's permanent, and I hope it is for you, you can stop taking Trobalt altogether. You won't know for sure unless you are off of that stuff for a week or so.

      I'm using it as like a painkiller. 400mg once a day isn't a high dose.

      Nothing wrong with a positive mindset. Matter of fact I used to have one very flamboyant mindset myself. But as said, this **news** is inconclusive so far. Hence no celebration.

      @undecided Trobalt isn't a cure. It's merely a short term fix with heavy side effects. And it's not permanent!!!

      @swc5150, so there were 2 TT members who took the same med as Corrine and it didn't work for them?

      @Geo, it depends on the efficacy of the meds and their long-term side effects. All meds always come with a price. The question is are you willing to pay it. As said, my dad paid with his life. Imagine being blind, bedridden and having T.
      I want a real cure or a treatment that works which means real **silence** without popping pills for life. But I also work on a backup plan, a safe way out if this hell.
      Heck, I'd sign a contact with the devil if I could life another decade T free. Another decade is all I need.

      @Mrs D, you had no contact with any other participant in this trial? Where did you get the meds?

      @Gosia, I completely agree with you even pain patients that take opiates have to detox. Long-term is never a good thing.

      @Eltel, go ahead and pop Trobalt then. But you will never hab to your T when being on meds.

      @RCP1, actually Benzos and Trobalt did. But then again, you won't be in need of any of those TRT did the trick in your case.

      He seems to tolerate it quite well,and since in the Trobalt studies people were on it for half a decade without any major side effects, I would say that dannyboy is safe until Aut comes out....Well thats my personal reasoning.

      Yes, they have made longitudinal trial with Trobalt and they found that those who did not drop out in the beginning due to horrible side effects, had smooth sailing for about 5 years until which time their retinas turned bluish, however sight was not affected at that point. Stay tuned for more updates on these Trobalt guinea pigs...

      No I said it takes 5 years to go blue, so dannyboy has plenty of slack because Aut will come out in under 5 years, if successful. Hell dannyboy could sign up for phase 3 in UK next year, if his T is still there.

      No, Trobalt is not a version of Aut63, it hits totally different channels.
      Its like saying a Ferrari is a better version of a Chrysler Neon.

      Help with what?
      Yes, epilepsy. No, only TT has trialled it for T.
      》》》 there is one small study on Retigabine and R-Maxipost that abolished salicylate induced T in rats.

      Xanax is a safe drug @Geo. Probably as safe as Keppra, as long as it is used as prescribed.
      There's no way you're gonna get any bad side effects using a small dose like 0.25mg or 0.5mg. You'll only feel more relaxed. Don't believe every bad experience you read on the net.
      There's a therapeutic dose and a therapeutic effect for benzos, just don't go over what your doctor prescribed.
      </offtopic>

      BTW, @Mrs D, what was the cause of your T?

      Read her thread carefully!
      It was caused by a kiss on her ear.

      @Geo

      Xanax is a short acting benzo (about six hours) with a rapid onset of its action (you'll probably start feeling it after 10-20 minutes).
      0.25mg is a very small dose, but you'll probably feel it since you don't have any benzo tolerance issues.
      I'm actually pretty careless about drugs, I once took ~30mg bromazepam (like >3mg xanax) and I just felt totally relaxed and fell happily asleep. On another time I had a prescription for 25mg Lyrica (a wannabe benzo) and ended up taking around 350mg. Nothing happened, just felt a little hangover in the morning.

      I'm not writing the above to condone any misuse of drugs. I'm simply noting the fact that overdosing or having truly nasty side effects from small therapeutic doses is not gonna happen.
      Pulling a Judy Garland is impossible with modern drugs.

      @dan

      A kiss on her ear. Would that be loud noise exposure then?
      How loud can a kiss be?

      I don't think anyone had the really nasty side effects except @Christian78, who has retina changes

      I kissed my db meter. Peaked at 120 db. Wasn't the most forceful kiss I could muster though. I guess it's a mixture of a loud sound + barotrauma.
