      Sorry for language mistakes.

      About 1.5 years ago I got tinnitus. Even after this period of time I'm not sure what was it's reason and how I got it. It Started very slowly. After a few months the sound had grown. At that time It had many side effects on me like headache, ear fullness, concentration problems (was awful), and of course noise, very loud noise. I sometimes could even hear it in trains.

      About one year ago, I was at the end of my life, I was so depressed, I couldn't control my crying. I'd searched for many treatments and I always had failed. Like most of you, I asked "Why me?, What can I do now?", "How can I tolerate this for ever?", "Is there any future for me at all?!".

      I want to ask you please stop saying questions like these. because I think You can't answer to this questions at that moment. I give it a name for first period of my tinnitus ("IN THE HELL") until you feel habituated to it.

      I can hear tinnitus now. But I habituate to it. it's true that occasionally it affects me but I almost live like before.

      I want to bring some of my experience that I had here, may be they they useful (I know they are repetitious):

      In this period ("IN THE HELL") just try to not fight tinnitus, because surely it'll win.

      Try to avoid it as much as you can. Don't stay in a silent room listening to it.

      Protect your ears.

      Try to live like before and be sure one day you'll be almost like before which you got tinnitus.

      Believe me I'm very pessimistic man and You can see it from my previous posts.

      I can't ignore any fact. And this is a fact. You will get over this Hell and pass from it.

      @snow47
      Your success story is awesome! Thank you for sharing it with all of us! It's really reassuring for me to see someone who was pessimistic and had been very depressed about their T and despite all of this suffering and negative emotion, come out on the other side and habituate. It truly shows that no matter how low you feel or are in life you can always rise above and be happy again. I wish you the best, congratulations on habituating! I hope I can say the same for me one day!

      Thank you from all of you. I remember how you helped me a lot. In the worst time of my life you were here with positive posts, not like my negative posts.

      Thank you so much. Actually I'm pessimistic now as much as before. But when I see I can live almost like before and as like before I'm working, go out with friends, ... I can't ignore that I really get over from it. I'm definitely sure You will get over from it too.

      @snow47 ,
      I remember how despondent you were and I felt so bad for you. You thought your life was over and I completely understood because I felt the same way throughout my first year with tinnitus and hyperacusis. I worried for you when you disappeared from the forum so thank you for coming back to post your uplifting story. You just made my day!:)

      Thank you. I didn't forget how it was. I wan't myself anymore. I needed to go from the forum. Because I have focused too much on tinnitus. I think it is the worst thing to do.
      I'm not looking for treatment any more. I can live with it and actually I have other works to do rather than think about tinnitus and treatment for it. I'm surprised you all remember me maybe because I was so pessimistic.

      @Equalizer - Your defeatist attitude will not serve you well. I think you need to read ALL the Success Stories, perhaps that will alter your opinion.

      Hi everyone. I'm Saeed. It's been a while since the last time I was here. I don't know if you remember me.

      So first a brief background. I got tinnitus about 2.5 years ago and it was horrible.

      I found this amazing site and met very good people here. I talked to them and although they got me a lot of support and advice, I was always complaining. I had a lot of symptoms at the same time like headache, anxiety, lack of concentration.

      About a year ago I finally could get over it. I didn't forget how I was at my first year of tinnitus.

      Since my last post I have got even better. These days I don't have any problem with tinnitus. I forget about it. Actually I have a lot of other problems to face. I can say tinnitus isn't an issue for me any more.

      I consider myself 100% healthy as I was before tinnitus. It's completely done. Even if a drug came I don't think I'll try it. I came here to appreciate those who helped me.

      I know what hell can be tinnitus. I think you will get over it by time.Time is the key. Brain is strong enough and with time it can defeat it.

      Thank you.
