      Welcome to the forums, Harshit!

If I were you, I'd ask your doctor why he prescribed you that.

I couldn't find any information about the drug helping tinnitus...

I found the same you did, and it seems it's an antipsychotic.

Pimozide is used in its oral preparation in schizophrenia and chronic psychosis (on-label indications in Europe only), Tourette syndrome and resistant tics (Europe, USA and Canada).
Pimozide has been used in the treatment of delusional disorder and paranoid personality disorder.[1] It has also been used for delusions of parasitosis.[2]

I feel for you. That's actually quite horrible if he took you for a delusional patient. Usually ENTs don't even prescribe antipsychotics, it's just not their specialty.

I'd make a fuss about it and not let this one go. Just unbelievable. When can you see the doctor again?

      Good luck buddy.

Might be that he doesn't think your delusional and only wants to help. I know that there are studies that say that Tinnitus is related to diseases like schizophrenia etc. and that Tinnitus shows similar activities in the brain as those diseases so one approach is to treat this hyperactivity with medication also used for delusions, schizophrenia,..

yes I'm sure I read about this approach but of course I never tried such medication and I don't know if it could work. Just wanted to let you know that he might wants to help you.. but if you feel like he is not helping and you can't trust him go and see another ENT that maybe understands you better.
