      Hi everyone,

Yes, I know I have posted a few times asking about the ototoxic effects of various substances that I could not find research on and that any available research was inconclusive.

I have recurrent BV infections and obviously cannot take antibiotics since they are ototoxic.

I am wondering if any females (or anyone knows a female) who has used boric acid suppository supplements and if it affected her tinnitus/caused it.

Thank you. Can't be too careful, but to ask questions regarding everything when there's a lot on the line.

Many people here have taken amoxicillin and ended up being ok.

I have used boric acid pessaries for a gardnerella BV/candida for about a year with no effect on my tinnitus whatsoever...

Amoxicillin has no effect on BV causing microbes such as Gardnerella.

@PrincessZelda I am pretty sure that as long as you don't apply it directly into your ear, it won't harm your ears. According to the study below, the solution of boric acid and water was safe, whereas the solution of boric acid and alcohol was not.

and here is another study where even the solution containing alcohol applied into (rat) ears with perforated tympanic membrane hasn't done any damage.

BV is linked in hormonal shifts so perhaps look at your gut and liver health also.
