I have had tinnitus for years but I started taking a medication that has changed my tinnitus some and once in a while I will hear some intermittent crackling sound going on but it is very short in duration. I never experienced this before this drug. Sometimes the tinnitus does not seem as loud. Also, the loud tones and whistle I had has turned into static and a whistle. It used to be constantly loud. The ringing in my right ear has decreased. Does this mean it is getting better and the left ear will improve?

How would anyone here know that? You are asking so many things here but they are questions that cannot be answered. Use your common sense on what is possible to answer and what is not.

      No offense meant.

If you take meds that affect your T it can't be healing.

I don't take any meds and I've been experiencing intermittent crackling too especially in the first year but now the weird crackling has become very rare. Anyhow, my T is constantly changing. Multiple noises.
