Is My Anxiety/Obsession with the Low Volume Noise All in My Head? Is That a Possibility?

My tinnitus came about a week ago after a loud noise exposure. This is a fact. However, everyone that was with me has had their ears recover. So, I am wondering if my anxiety/obsession with the low volume noise (that has, to a degree, gotten better) is all in my head. Is that a possibility?

Also has anyone heard of Dr. Neil Bauman, and if so, is his book legitimate?

Oh, I forgot so I'm editing, is it normal to FEAR going into a silent environment?

Tinnitus can be both mental + physical. Some members got their tinnitus , from anxiety. It is normal to go into a silent surroundings and ramp up your anxiety/tinnitus. You go into these places and your obsession peaks and that causes more anxiety and possibly louder tinnitus.

Also, there is no golden rule with tinnitus. Just because someone is in a loud spot/place/situation...doesn't mean they will have the same issues as you. It's odd, but that's just how it is. Don't worry about them..take care of YOU :)

The fact that it had gotten better after only a week is a very good news. It looks like eventually you will be able to hear silence again.
