      Hey, all,

I had a quick question and not sure where to post it.

I've been reading a lot here, and it seems like there is a lot of excitement over all these new avenues of treatment, which all seem like years of work starting to pay off. FX-322, the bimodal stimulation, etc.

As a new member, I've taken a stroll around some old stuff, but this feels "different". Among the more research-minded folks on here, does this feel like things are speeding up and a real, tangible breakthrough is getting closer than ever?

Or is this a "we've been here before" type of thing for most? And I'm guessing for those of us with the ringing and hearing loss, possibly we'll need more than one of these to get the full payoff?

"We're closer than ever to a cure" is a statement that is true no matter when you say it. It was true 30 years ago, 20 years ago, 10 years ago, and today.

That being said, Tinnitus has gained in awareness in the past few years (see trends.google.com), and there are at least a few different vectors being experimented on to treat it, so I think it's positive.

I think they are closing in on a solution. There are several companies testing hearing loss drugs. I am starting to become very interested in OTO413.

      Can't argue that.
