Is Somatic Tinnitus All in the Mind?

Pulsatile tinnitus apparently means that the sound beats in time with the heart.

In my dictionary the word "somatic" means "relating to the body as distinct from the mind."

Does this mean that pulsatile tinnitus is related to the mind?

As far as I know pulsatile is a physical type of tinnitus often known as objective which can sometimes be heard by Drs too. It's the sound of your heartbeat.
Pulsating tinnitus is just another sound, there are many.
Somatic is linked to certain movements that cause it.

I remember being on certain meds and i would hear my heart beating in my ears. For me, at least it was a physical thing and not mental....
