I am a 59-year-old female who started experiencing the loud ringing specifically in my left ear back at the end of summer of 2018.

I've been to every specialist I can imagine they've tested me in every way shape or form. I went to the House Ear Clinic number one hearing and audiology clinic in North America. No one has given me any help whatsoever.

I'm looking into all these different cures and hoping that something might happen one day.

I live with it but it's debilitating.

My brain does not get used to it. I use earplugs and white noise. My hearing has gotten worse in my one good ear.

Whether it's the neuromodulation or something else I just hope and pray I don't have to live this way forever. I give anything to not hear the high pitch sound 24 hours a day seven days a week, especially when I want to go to bed.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear your suffering. Try use some masking sounds which will work for you. For high pitched T, you may want to try heavy rain sound, wind, wave, cicadas, waterfall, even shower or faucet sounds will help. Yes there are treatments and alternate treatments out there that may help. Even in this introduction, someone just post that he has created a sound that have helped knock out his T (see link below). Not saying that one method will work for all forms of tinnitus but there are success stories of people using different means. For example, the 'Back to Silence' method (in success stories forum) have helped many, so is CBT, TRT etc. Don't give up hope and try to not get too stressed out or fearful as that can cause the limbic system to kick in and make T even sound worse. Try to read up more success stories to give yourself hope. I list my story link too if you are interested to read it as I also have had high pitch T. Take care. God bless.
