Just Another Thing to Worry About

My doc perscribed me a drug caused paralysis (minor) in my hands and arms. It caused the massive confusion and apparently it was due to sodium deficiency caused by the drug.

He had me stop the drug and immediately after I started having tinnitus very low static

I had it before when I had an ear infection but it was louder and more intense

I noticed when I finally get to sleep right before I wake up there is no tinnitus but as soon as I lift my head up tinnitus so I feel this is all brain activity and when my mind is at rest tinnitus disappears

If low sodium can cause confusion it may be possible that when my sodium levels return much of the tinnitus will disappear I'm going to drink a ton of PediaSure and find out.

Yes there are many members whose tinnitus is caused by drug interaction. In fact ototoxic drugs are often discussed as reasons for people's tinnitus. So it is possible yours is from that cause. But you do mention that moving your head up can cause T to appear while lying down resting then T will disappear. This may also suggest blood circulation can affect it or that your T is somatic, meaning muscle movement of body parts can cause T to spike. Perhaps you post your condition to the general support forum to see if members at large can address your condition better than here in the Introduction forum.

I went to a hockey game monday night extremly worried about my hearing. My wife got me some ear plugs from the first aid folks and i stuffed em in so well everything but the tinnitus noise was muffled down to a hush.

Tonight (next day) my tinnitus is barely noticeable. Its there. But only in silence and im here now because for a for a few minutes it was silent and i could hear distant trains at a campground im at.

Its much more bearable. Its not a hiss as much as it is a distant rain now.
