      Hey everyone,

So I have a new sound today. This is higher than usual so I'm not sure if this is a spike... I hope so and it calms down.

I ate a couple pretzels and had a coke with it and I was watching a video on my computer. I came upstairs and was like what the hell is that noise? I thought the TV was doing it so I unplugged it and the whole room was quiet and that's when I realized oh sh#@ that's my ears.

      Just need some encouragement.

Sometimes salt and caffeine will cause a spike for some people.

I agree with the other comments. It sounds like a temporary spike, that will probably calm down again soon.

For some people, caffeine and salt definitely affect their tinnitus. If it doesn't calm down, you might try some dietary changes, such as limiting salt, caffeine, sugar, and alcohol.

      Take care,
      Karen
