Just noticed a stiff area by my ear/jaw.

      I was feeling around on the right side behind my ear below the ear lobe and above the point where the jaw starts curving up but still right along side of the bone and I feel a stiff firm area there that kind of feels like a muscle or a sort of firm cyst like feeling that's not on the left side.
      When I push down on this area, it feels sore and hurts, but my pulsatile tinnitus stops just like when I push down on my jugular by my throat.
      Anyone know if this firmness is related to my PT?

      Hi, Larry,
      I don't know if it is related or not, but it's possible. Could you perhaps have a swollen gland? If not, maybe it is a cyst. You could have a doctor check it to tell you what it is. I think it's interesting that your PT stops when you push on that area. If you're concerned, I would have it checked out.

      Have you been checked for TMJ? Could it be related to the jaw?

      Do you have PT in only one ear, or both?
