Hi! Just joined the group and hoping to get some support. The problem with my right ear started in February this year on the way back from Slovenia. During the landing I noticed my ear was sore. Next day while at work I lost my balance, I was in lots of pain.

Waited 3 weeks to see the nurse in the local surgery who just said it is a virus. In England everything is a virus. I knew that I was still not right.

Finally after few more visits with my GP I got referred first to audiologist ( my hearing is acute and I noticed I am rather sensitive to certain type of noise around me) then to ENT specialist who could not see any problems with my ear and he referred me for the CT scan with contrast which I had yesterday.

The sensation of contrast inside my body wasn't very nice, I felt a little bit sick with metallic taste in my mouth and burning sensation around my main organs especially in my groin area. Now I need to wait for my results.

I have got pulsatile tinnitus in my right ear and I really struggle when it is very quiet around me. I am finding difficult to read and do my meditation ( I misss that the most). My tinnitus is rather calm when still being in bed but if I start moving more it does increase. I do feel sharp pain really deep in my ear which comes and goes.

I have been reading a lot, researching a lot and I do worry. I know I shouldn't until I get my CT results. I do understand that every case is different. Since injecting the contrast my tinnitus settled down a little bit, not so sure why.

I do hope it is not serious and if I have to live with it I haven't got any other choice than learning to deal with it.
