Living in Hell

I am a husband and father who grew up not knowing about this crippling problem. I worked in manufacturing in the Chicago area for most of my life. And I was sound man for a band for a few years. Needless to say, I cannot hear anything over 4000 cycles and I live in hope and pray that this can be cured. I live on prescriptions to sleep and keep my mind off this horrible state.

I invite other to chat and share good experiences as I don't find many in the course of the day. It has gotten to the point where unbearable is only a notion. I look forward to sharing my experience and how I cope daily.

 

Dan, you are not alone. I spent 14 years exposed to aircraft noise every day. I am a Psychologist and have worked in mental health for over 30 years. I am personally aquatinted with the daily torment of tinnitus.
