Hello, I went to an Audiologist for check up, she told me that I have low frequency hearing loss. Now suddenly I noticed low hissing sound on my right ear and it's non stop for the past two days. I am here to find out if I have I have tinnitus and get myself educated. Any advice will be appreciated.

      Thank you,
      Abdi

Tinnitus can be high pitched or low hum. It most likely is tinnitus if you hear hissing sound from your ears instead of from outside source. But it may fade away, especially if you don't pay attention to it and get on with life.

Thank you Billie48, I want to fight this without taking any medication. It all started with a nasal drip my doctor give me several medications plus two sprays then suddenly this low hum started. I am not sure if the medication was the cause.
You guys are great and thank you

Does anyone know if caffeine makes tinnitus worse?
