      Hey all,

I haven't smoked marijuana again since I've got some panic attacks unrelated to tinnitus before the tinnitus onset, so, I gave myself some time to reach emotional stability.

Now that I have tinnitus, I wonder: will this sound affect my highs?

What is your experience on this? Do you get overobsessed with the sound? Do you chill and stop getting bothered by the sound? Has tinnitus spoiled your MJ experiences?

Even having OCD and anxiety, I used to love the highs, got me so alive and euphoric (I feel like a robot sober, maybe due to the OCD meds)... but I wonder how I would react to smoking again.

      Can you share your experiences?

But it's temporary/episodic, right? At least I hope so lol.

Spikes from weed are temporary, for some it even helps to bring the noise down .

Your mileage may vary. For me, it doesn't affect me or my tinnitus, though I'm sure the type of strain you smoke could also affect said perception. I know some problem who have had mental breakdowns and tinnitus spikes. For me; no issues.

I did quit weed for a long time. The withdrawal is weird and crazy and having tinnitus won't help

      Again, YMMV.

I never smoke but I'm going to Canada to try it. I want to find out if it helps. Everyone is different.

Never done it myself but read it can heighten your senses; including the perception of tinnitus.

I hate to be the guy who says sad things but for me personally it spikes my tinnitus. It's not permanent though, it will go down as the high goes down. I used to smoke twice a day every day, I personally quit because the spike can be pretty distracting if you're not in the right mindset. But because it's not permanent, if you really want to smoke weed I'd say go for it. Prepare for a spike tho and try to do things that can distract you from it while you're high.
