Married or in a Relationship with Somebody Else with Tinnitus?

Just curious how many people on here are married to or are in a relationship with someone else with tinnitus?

Did you know they also had tinnitus before you started dating? Or was it kind of a surprise when you found out?

 

My gf hears nothing but silence, but my grandmother has a loud hissing T and lives a happy life. She used on her T an approach similar to "back to silence" and doesn't hear it unless she wants to, pretty impresive

 

My wife and I have tinnitus. She never complains about it. I do all the time. She's very understanding but not just because she has it, but because she's that type of person. I guess I lucked out.

 

My gf has minor noise induced tinnitus with very little hearing loss, I think it's hard for her to understand real tinnitus and hyperacusis. Until you have it, you aren't going to get it.

 

My wife and I both have severe T so can support each other

 

Me and my boyfriend have tinnitus. After I got my drug induced T, he also developed it out of blue. Mine is very, very severe already but his T got so bad lately that he needed to see a doctor. He has slight hearing loss. I'm 24 and he is 22. Very tragic...

 

Never been in a relationship, nor before i get T nor after...

 

My wife has T louder than mine, she never compliant about it, I do a lot. It turned out she developed it before we met but she mentioned it to me only after couple of years , still prior my T onset. She does not really understands my depression and struggle with it
