      Hi,

I’m moving to another rented property. I’m happy with the house and it’s really the only one I can afford. However, as always I’m worried.

there is a housing development/construction site from 150 to 300m away. I doubt the noise from the site would be loud enough to cause any damage (especially from inside the house), however I thought I would put this to the people here at Tinnitus Talk.

Do you think it would be stupid of me to move to this new house or am I being paranoid?

I should mention I will be at work in the week days so it’s only on a Saturday that there would potentially be any noise.

      HI @Josh1994

I understand your concerns but try not to put too much pressure on yourself worrying over this. If you are not careful stress and anxiety is more than capable of increasing your tinnitus. Try to relax and be calm. The answer isn't to keep away from environmental sounds but to seek treatment if you are unable to tolerate them. Please click on the links below and read my posts which you might find helpful. Move into the property and please don't forget to invite me to the house warming!

      All the best
      Michael
