Consumer SaaS did not become a defacto until recently.

 

Gimp has a really good way to select things by adding a water pixelized copy of a layer and then using the select wand. I call this technique water pixel selection.



This is literally phenomenal at doing things like painting skin without painting clothes.

It only takes a few minutes to cut out a background or do something like this.

This tool is probably better or tied with CC's content aware but it is not non-destructive (reversible). I made a minor mistake and left a shadow from the Scorpions tail.



Put the PNG of the scorpion and put it on top of all the other layers.



Then Zoom Motion Blur the background in which the Scorpion has been removed (inpainted). If the scorpion were still in the background things would look ugly and distorted.

I found new machine learning software that can transform any sample image into a texture. It takes twenty minutes to process the data but the outcome is cool.

 

I like Cheetahs.

I tested a new voice transcription machine learning app to transcribe tinnitus infomercial videos and it works semi decent. I still have to do some manual corrections after ward. But it is really nice knowing there is something that can compete with Adobe CC's transcription stuff.



Here are two software programs that incorporate vosk. You run vosk through this software's GUI.





Vosk and Mozilla's up and coming Deep Speech is the only non-SaaS audio transcription software available.

A few months ago I learned how to chain multiple shadow and stroke filters all in one custom filter option. Text becomes very appealing when it has multiple strokes and shadows. And now it is convenient because it can be edited at will and custom filters can be reapplied all at once by pressing ctrl f or going to recent filter history.









This is my final post in MPP btw.

 

actual last post. I finally hit the point where I can work extremely fluent with low quality image editing software. That was my one life goal and I accomplished it.

Dang! They're already rolling out Windows 11?

I wasn't too captivated by the new design and and architecture of the operating system, so I'll probably stick to Windows 10 till end of support.

What I'd really want is to still roll with Windows XP, or at least Windows 7, but it's seems a bit unsafe with dropped support. So that's sad. (;´༎ຶД༎ຶ`)

 

It'll just be increased telemetry, and less ability to turn that off @Stacken77.

You can forget about any improved usability or "giving the customer what they want" (aka. Windows XP/7); every tech company is "Google" now, and makes money selling what is essentially, spyware (barring Linux).
