I first developed T in 1998. At that time I was making music and had moved into electronic styles. I was working on a particular track through headphones and trying to get the right mix and I was focusing heavily on the panning of the synth and drum parts. After about 2 hours of work I took the headphones off and there it was the start of my T. It was in both ears and different frequency in each. I remember 4 days later, whilst in the bath, thinking to myself - this is not going to go. Sure enough here I am stuck with it.
Over the years I learned to zone it out and keep myself busy which helped. I then decided to go down the anti-depressant route and I can honestly say that this has suppressed it to a tolerable degree. I would also say that the result of suppression is really just a dulling of the senses, but it helps.
I have also found that smoking dope is bad news as it heightens the senses and spikes the volume of the T.
Anyway still hunting for the silver bullet, but for now I am going to begin DIY notch and CR treatment but I fear it may be in-vain due to restrictive nature of anti-depressants on the Plasticity.

I would defiantly not use headphones again as your ears are telling you that are not happy playing around with sound directly into the ears and using headphones and earphones can cause and spike tinnitus for some people.
Hope your ears settle soon...lots of love glynis
