Seems like my tinnitus came back due to probably a sinus infection. I had tinnitus prior to this only about 1-2 months ago that lasted for around a week from a gunshot. I literally cannot hear it when doing everyday things at all but it only drives me nuts when I lay my head down when in bed. My friends say it's the natural sound of silence especially since people these days are so used to noise thanks to headphones. I also try really hard to notice it whenever I wake up to see if it still there but I cannot hear it.
Maybe it really is all in my head but who knows. My doc says nothing is wrong with my ear in terms of any redness but told me to try nasal spray after a week. I'm going to see an ENT soon when I move out of my dorm Saturday.
Edit: I also think it's because my roommate had a plug that made a very similar noise to tinnitus. Maybe I just get triggered whenever I'm on my bed. Or maybe since I heard that for a few days I start tricking myself I have it. Who knows? I also tried nasal spray today which kinda helped me when i laid down on my bed.
