When I first got this, it was one loud "weee" sound all the time. That was fine because it was easy to hide with background noises. Now I have one high "wee" sound and one sound that beeps all the time and constantly changes frequency! It's like "beep, bEeep, bEEp, beeep , BEeeEeep" ... Well, i think you got the point :p It also waves ALL THE TIME, I'm seriously losing my mind with this! Sometimes it is quiet but it always comes back. I have had this like two months now and I'm scared, what does this constantly chancing voice means...? Does anyone else have noise like this? How are you coping with it? What do you use to cover it? Voice in my head also changes when i bite something really hard or when i move my jaws.... I know it came from loud noise, but what does that mean? Do you have something like that too?

Mine fluctuates too. I use nothing to cover it. This T guy always has new stories but the stories are always about the same thing. Don't pay too much attention to him :p

Yes, I am almost two years in and my T is not the same for 5 minutes, constantly changing, switching ears , modulated to no end. Drives me nuts ! I wonder if that is the norm ? Dunno ?

I'd been wondering if it's normal to have these different tones I hear. The prevalent one, the most bothersome one I might add, is this low pitch hum. Then I started playing Dr. Google again and read that it's not uncommon. Thankfully there are people who post about their experiences!

I much prefer the high-pitch T (in my H ear) because it's a familiar tone to me (in my non-H ear) and that ear doesn't bother me.

I wasn't too worried about the changes. I was wondering if that was just my ear "exercising" it's way to health.

Tinnitus can be a single tone or have multiple tones. I know mine has two distinct tones and when I experience spikes I hear other tones. Sometimes it sounds like somebody blowing through a pipe. There are some weird things going on in our auditory systems so I doubt anybody has all the answers. Once I used to freak out about spikes and changes but now I pay it no attention because I know it will pass as it always has.

sorry... was multi-tasking and wasn't clear in my post.

I most often hear this low hum, or a sound like someone's making bubbles in their milk, but then sometimes I get a medium pitch and a high pitch, but they are brief.

I have so many different tones and they've changed many times over the past couple of years, keeps things interesting!

    8. I have a hiss some days, and every day a beep, beep, beep..like in and out..sometimes it reacts to external noises (gets louder) I also have Hyperacusis in this ear..Going on 5 weeks now. I first noticed this in JUly when I got water trapped in my ear from wax..anyways got it flushed and I think it was the water or wax that did something to my eardrum as now my ear is messed up!

Street Spirit, my T reacts to external noise too, which is why it settles down when I remove myself from the noise... with the H, it can be stressful. Mine started Nov. 18th, so it's been almost 3 months.

I think my biggest worry now is that if they someday have a cure for T, it's only for tonal tinnitus because they know exactly their frequency and I guess that is so much easier to treatment.... :(
