My Tinnitus Is Worse After Massage of the Neck?

Hi all,

Just curious - does your tinnitus become louder after massage/trigger point treatment of the neck?

Mine seem to do that the days after a massage.

Anyone?

 

Yes. My spike lasts about a day. Don't worry about it.

 

Gentle massage always reduces my tinnitus.

 

I had a neck massage where they moved my neck from side to side and I noticed my hearing was muffled after and I have tinnitus now. Has anyone had the same experience?

 

This happens to me as well. It just means that there are nerves being stimulated and your brain is interpreting that stimulation as sound. For me, it happens any time I strain myself, stretch, or even stand up. I was an active person, and now I can't do much at all. It's pure, utter hell.
