Tinnitus Since
2016
Cause of Tinnitus
unknown
So I've had tinnitus since 2016 (not sure), first it was not really loud and I could barely notice it.
One day my father played something and it became worse.
It was still not that loud. But I became paranoid about it.

So many months after it was still okay to handle and I could easily forget it but one night I was bored and searched videos on YouTube and since this night, I can hear my tinnitus.

It was still okay, I was not that stressed about it. Someday it could get worse and get better. But since Christmas, there was loud music, and I heard a high pitched sound, and it is not going away.
For information I am almost fifteen years old and I live in France so my english is not the best.
Also, I have a earwax blockage in the ear I hear my tinnitus (in the right ear).

I have many questions :

- Is it possible for the tinnitus to get worse even if it is due to a earwax blockage ?
- If it can not get worse because of the earwax blockage, can my brain make it seem like it is getting worse ? (I think that is what is happening to me)
- How can I stay focused/concentrated when I hear it ?
- I hear 2 sounds and sometimes 3.
- If a doctor removes my earwax blockage, does the tinnitus go away or does it need time to go away ?
- If my tinnitus is not caused by my earwax blockage, what is the problem ?
- How to "forget" tinnitus ?
- Can I do something about it ? Does hypnosis help ?
Thank you for reading this, I hope you all will get better and could hear silence (again).

Also when I plug my ears I can still hear my tinnitus, can it still be caused by earwax blockage ?

Based on what I read in others posts on this forum, the answer to the above is Yes.

- How can I stay focused/concentrated when I hear it ?

There is a high chance that if you avoid further damage, your body will heal and your T will fade or disappear. So you are unlikely to be stuck with the sound that you are hearing now. To answer your question - you need to give it time and wait. Two years from now, either your T will fade or disappear, or you will get used to the sound.

If the sound bothers you when you are trying to sleep, you can use sound enrichment (play nature sounds) to let yo listen to something else besides T.

- If a doctor removes my earwax blockage, does the tinnitus go away or does it need time to go away ?

T almost never disappears overnight. Ears take forever to heal. Many people had their T fade or disappear several months after wax was removed from their ear.

- If my tinnitus is not caused by my earwax blockage, what is the problem ?

It might have been caused by an acoustic trauma (trauma due to a loud noise).

- How to "forget" tinnitus ?

I am not aware of any easy solutions. The only "solution" is to wait. Many people are eventually able to get used to their T.

- Can I do something about it ? Does hypnosis help ?

You can try to protect your ears from excessive noise. In my experience (and in the experience of a number of others on this forum), this seems to promote healing. Check out
