Neosensory — Bimodal Stimulation Device for Tinnitus: Any Reviews? A Scam or Not?

Could you tell us how it went with the device?

I'm so desperate that I'm willing to try anything.
Yes, I've found it useful as a masking/distraction device. It obviously doesn't mask anything as it is not sound, and for the record, I have never found any sound masker that could mask my tinnitus even a little bit, but it does work for me as a soother, a distractor away from the tinnitus sound. I'm going to contradict myself a little on this because, in some ways, the low-frequency vibration (think low-frequency Tibetan singing bowls) is like a sound that you process through your skin. Perhaps that helps with brain processing, as it isn't competing for my attention through the cochlear pathways.

Anyway, I have found it to be of some use as a soothing/distraction device. A weird, soothing vibration that I put on my wrist or ankle, which I find myself able to focus on rather than the tinnitus sound. No cure, no lessening of the sound, just a coping tool. Makes things feel 10-15% better.

No magic bullet and YMMV, but it's the first device I've used that I've experienced any soothing effect with. It really depends on whether you have the money to invest in something that may very well end up in your junk drawer. I believe they offer a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to give such detailed feedback. I think I'm going to try it if I can. My main concern is customs since I'm not in the US. I can relate to you about not being able to find any masking sound for my worst tinnitus tone. Some of my sounds get drowned out by other noises, but it's the unmaskable tone in my ear, along with some hearing loss, that's making me feel this bad and desperate. I'll let you know if I try it.

I understand the desperation, but I don't want to oversell this. It does something for me soothing-wise, but I don't want to give the impression that it is a game-changing kind of thing. It is just a modestly effective soothing tool that does seem to allow a little bit of a masking sensation via vibrations.

I understand very well what you described. I know what to expect, so please don't worry. I'm not expecting much, but I'd still like to give it a try. I know it probably won't change much, but in the best case, it might give me the same soothing feeling that you get from it. Thank you very much for your help.

Sure thing. Good luck with it.
