I haven't been on here in quite awhile. I've been in a very dark place because of T. I didn't know if I was able to live with it anymore.

I had T in my left ear for 15 yrs. It was always a 1/10. Never bothered me. November 2015 my life changed. My T was 11/10 almost everyday. I also had ETD. Sometimes the fullness was worse than T. After about 6 months it went in my right ear. Now both my ears were affected.

My T was reactive. The louder a tv or shower was the louder my T got. If I was in silence the fullness would bother me. There were days that my T was 8/10 but I was still depressed and couldn't function as a human.

I've been to 3 doctors and 4 ENT. I've had MRIs done and couldn't find anything. They gave me medications but nothing worked. They all told me it had to be noise induced and to learn to live with it. I tried chiropractors and acupuncture. Still nothing.

My husband and family were very supportive even though I was severely depressed. They were worried I would do something to hurt myself.

One night I had sex with my husband lol. A couple months ago I found out I was pregnant. This baby is a blessing. I went to the obgyn. She took my blood and called me 2 days later and told me I had hypothyroidism and that I should be on medication. I'm on 25mcg of levothyroxin. Been on it for 2 weeks now. My T is down to a 4/10 and my fullness is barely there. It feels like I can breathe again. I can smile and laugh again. I can't wait to be a mom.

I believe the hypothyroidism caused my T and ETD. I wish the ENT and doctors would have gotten my blood and did all the tests. This baby is my little miracle.

Sorry it's so long. I want to thank everyone here for the support. I hope one day we will all be cured of this hell. ❤

So happy for you @hurtingdream! I've been as low as you were and my family was fearful also. My tinnitus was caused by sudden hearing loss, not hypothyroidism. I wonder if there are others here on the forum who experience tinnitus because of hidden thyroid problems which doctors fail to look for.
Love to see a fellow Michigander finding relief. Congrats on the little miracle!:)

Thank you Michigander! ☺ I'm hoping my story might help someone who's tinnitus might be from hypothyroidism.
