New Here — Tinnitus Really Bothersome — Can't Work Full Time Anymore

Hi everyone, I've dealt with tinnitus for about 16 years, but it's only recently that it's been really bothering me. It's bothering so much that I can't even work full time anymore in my rideshare job. My only hope is in the new treatments that are being worked on right now, which I am following pretty closely will one day cure or at least treat my tinnitus. Just had to vent on here.

Do you have anything recently that can trigger a spike? Are you aware of the many possible causes that can aggravate existing tinnitus? If you can trace down the cause(s), then perhaps when it is fixed, your tinnitus will go back to base line. Take care. God bless.

 

Yes I know the main causes. Smoking, and the constant hum of the road as I drive for a living. Alcohol use to be it, but I quit that. I just quit smoking. And now I'm using earplugs on the road. It seems to be getting better.
