New Here With Tinnitus for as Long as I Can Remember

I have had tinnitus for as long as I can remember. My dad had it as well. The older I get the worse it gets and have come to this forum to see what and if there are any solutions or helpful ideas. My primary doctor told me there was nothing that can be done about it. It bothers me most at night and I usually leave the tv on until I fall asleep to block out the ringing. Thanks for taking me in!!
