I just recently became a tinnitus sufferer. I was given Amlodipine for Raynaud's Syndrome to help with the pain and it helped.

After 2 months I am having noise in both ears continually. I stopped taking the medication 4 days ago with no relief.

I have been told that it could take months to have relief if that is the cause.

I am 74 and have had no other causes but age. Can anyone give me advice.

If I were you I'd have a hearing test to get some sense of what your hearing is like. At 74 you are not expected to have perfect hearing: presbycusis is real, and can often come with Tinnitus.

The medicine may have tipped the scales, and perhaps it was the trigger, but it could simply be due to aging and a timing a coincidence.

At any rate, there is no reason to not go through the diagnosis path: if your hearing can be helped by hearing aids, that's something to consider.

There's also a chance that it's going to fade in time.

Good luck!
