Hi all, I'm looking for some advice as I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Just under six days ago, my tinnitus started after a few drinks and snacks at a party. There weren't any particularly loud sounds, so I don't think it was noise-induced. The next day, I took a two-hour flight back home, and the day after that, I came down with a cold, probably from the guy next to me who was sniffling and coughing.
I went to an ENT who did a five-minute hearing test and said that my hearing is within the normal range.
I've now been to the hospital and managed to get two weeks of Prednisolone, starting at 60 mg with a taper in the second week.
Should I take it?
I'm worried it could make things worse, as I've read some horror stories. I'm wondering what you all think, to help me make a decision.
For context, I'm in my early 30s and generally healthy.
