Hey guys. I've recently had the on set of Tinnitus in my ears. I've noticed it more when I go to bed or wake up or if it's quiet at work. I've gone to my GP today to get a referral to go to a hearing specialist and also get custom earplugs made up. At the moment I'm finding it a bit hard to concentrate at times and have mild headaches plus my ears feel sensitive to loud sounds like dogs barking ect.
The cause (stupidly) was about 10 years of loud concerts which whilst I tried to where plugs often there were times where I didn't wear them and the next morning my ears were buzzing so it's my fault and I'm not trying to correct. It's a shame as my dad has very bad tinnitus from industrial noise which greatly affected his sleeping and resulted on being on small doses of Valium. So even though I am effected with tinnitus, after seeing my dad going through it it's something I can't ignore.
I will see my hearing specialist in the next week and see the extent and then go from there. I still do a lot of stuff with music and live shows so I will have to see how this effects that. I hope it's some I will still be able to manage with my tinnitus.
Cheers.
