Newbie Terrified of Going Deaf

I am 15 and craving some closure. My tinnitus started about 6-7 months ago from exstensive use of headphones. i used headphones for hours a day and even during the night for just over a year. i have stopped just this week and i am not terrified anymore about tinnitus but that my hearing is not going to last forever and one day i will go deaf.

 

I got my tinnitus back in 2001 from headphones and I never went deaf!
My hearing seems fine its just this damn ringing!
I think I was about 15 then too

 

thats really comforting to hear! has your hearimg worsen over time though?

 

I have T since 1998.I have loses in high frequency, but I can't say I am deaf. Sometimes T can be a warning to stop messing with you ears. Hope you follow the advice.

I'm 16 and also am absolutely terrified of going deaf. I'm pretty sure I've had it for at least 5 years though. I guess we're both tinnitus teens!
