Both my ears ring currently.

When I put my pinkie in one ear, the T in that ear seems to be ungodly loud (even perhaps a different tone). But if I plug both ears, my T is almost non existent compared to what it was a few weeks ago. Is this common? Why would it be loud if only plugging one ear? The extra loudness literally disappears the moment the other ear is plugged.

Think of T as the gain being turned up as it hears the missing frequency in your other ear hence if you plug both of them your brain turns it down I would expect hearing aids would probably help you
