It just looks like after the noise exposure that the ear was exposed to a '808nm diode laser beam at an output power density of 165mW/cm(2) for 30min a day for 5 consecutive days.'

So this could be used as a treatment in the future for sudden noise related hearing loss.

I wish there were more concrete details instead of psycho babble.
