Focus to the inner ear: The inner ear is an organ filled with fluid and is affected by dehydration. Fluid imbalances in the inner ear can lead to vertigo, dizziness, tinnitus and hearing loss according to a Loyola University study. Fluids are needed for proper function of everything within the body.

Just a simple yes or no poll on if you drink enough water. Comments can be made on any positives or possible negatives per a tinnitus condition. I can think of many questions to place in the poll about this subject, so I won't even bother to try.

It may be that in the early stages of tinnitus, that water may make a difference. It may also slow negatives for those with longer term tinnitus, but is this debatable.

I answered "yes" even though I don't normally drink water. However, my diet consists of fruits and vegetables. Today I had four pounds (over 2 kg) of vegetables for breakfast. I think my intake of water is good. Having said this, perhaps I ought to try actually drinking 8 glasses of water every day. I have nothing to lose except for my T.

What is the definition of "enough" water? I have a few 600ML bottles a day.

long term noise exposure (headphones), maybe some stress.
That depends what the recommended amount is. Some say 1.5 liters others say 2 liters. I would say I drink roughly 1.5 liters a day, and then I also get water from the foods I eat, so I am sure I drink enough.

I have awoken some mornings with a slighty worse T, and then I drink a glass of water (which I do first thing everyday) and the ringing instantly drops in intensity (back to baseline)

I know when I don't drink enough: I get craggy and fatigued. And silly, silly me was close to getting heatstroke over the weekend and drinking after the event

Drinking too much water increases the volume of my tinnitus. Will have to experiment.

Honest question, does it make a difference to the tinnitus depending on whether it is still or sparkling water?

The downside of being in the habit of eating large portions (which is something you have to do when you eat a lot of vegetables) is that when vegetables aren't available (e.g., during the meetings at work), I end up eating large portions of high calorie food (e.g., meat, pastries).
