Alper, could you do an update on your status? Has the T gone down to normal levels (before taking intratympanic injections) or any lower? My ENT is persuading me to try intratympanic because he says it's likely to be more effective than oral or intravenous, but I'm being very skeptical.

Also, you mentioned intravenous injections. Was the T reduction temporary, or did it have long lasting effects?

 

So, infusion therapy is given through the arm in the bloodstream?

 

I think the talk here is direct injection (intratympanic) vs intra-venous. Intratympanic would bring a greater concentration of drug to the (presumably) affected site directly and topically while with intra-venous a certain amount would be lost through normal metablolic processes and you would be reliant on the blood stream for delivery.

 

Intravenous method would also expose more of the body to the drug and increase potential side effects

 

Sorry for my late reaction. After all the treatments i have still extreme T...... It's all about money, doctors do this for money they know nothing can help.

Can you share which German clinik offered you the injections?
I am 4 weeks from onset so steroid injections might be something I want to try

 

Alper, How is your T now? Is it still higher after the intratympanic injections? Or did your T come down again?
