Tinnitus Talk is still quite a small community and because of that there probably aren't many users with pulsatile tinnitus here yet. On average about 3% of all tinnitus sufferers experience pulsatile tinnitus. Sometimes pulsatile tinnitus is referred to as "vascular tinnitus" because often it's related to disturbances in the blood flow. But one of our newest members contacted me and told their story. It looks like we just got our first member who experiences this phenomenon. Pulsatile tinnitus is constant just like the usual tinnitus, but the former is perceived as a rhythmic pulsing, swooshing, clicking or other sound that is in sync with the heartbeat. Even though the 3% seems small, it really isn't when you think about the massive amount of people with tinnitus.
