      Tinnitus Since:
      06/2016
      Cause of Tinnitus:
      Taking sleep medication called Seroquel
Developed tinnitus in left ear from taking sleep medication for insomnia ( Seroquel low dose)- so anxiety medication either created the tinnitus or made it worse- never had it before in my 69 years

Trying to figure out maybe if I eliminate probiotics or enzymes or alcohol or something it will stop- so far nothing helps. The audiologist said I have perfect hearing.

Going to ENT next month- but I doubt he can do anything- this happens when my blood pressure increases with exertion or normal anxiety.

      Hi, @claudiacardiff

Do you have both pulsating tinnitus and regular tinnitus?

I had regular tinnitus back in 2010, and a blood pressure drug caused my pulsating to begin. It also increased the level of my regular tinnitus. Sometimes drugs can have this effect.

It's been 7 years for me since the pulsating began; it hasn't gotten any worse, and I have more or less learned to cope with it.

I'll be interested to hear what your ENT has to say. Please post an update after your doctor visit.

      Best wishes,
      Karen
