Regular Intermittent Tinnitus

I have had tinnitus in my left ear that occurs for about 15 seconds every minute or so 24/7. It starts off quietly, increases in volume and then fades off. Like a hailstorm with the odd burst of thunder some days! I take half a zopiclone each night to enable me to sleep. I wear hearing aids as have a moderate to severe hearing loss. I am retired and caregiving for my husband Jim with moderate Alzheimer's and Rosie our 12 yr old diabetic dog. Wondering if anyone has much the same tinnitus symptoms as myself? Thanks
