Hi guys,

my friends have recently switched to vaping. I know that propylene glycol (an omnipresent ingredient in vape juice) has been linked to causing/aggravating tinnitus so as much as I would love to, I myself will not vape.

However, they will do this in the same room as I am.

Do you thing secondhand vape vapor will aggravate tinnitus permanently?

thanks!

I took the alternate route: told them how PG is harmful to the ears and now we ordered an 1L bottle of 100% VG and will do our own mixing to ensure no pesky PG gets in.

We've been smoking shisha for years which contains a lot of nicotine and nasty byproducts from the burning coal and it never ever affected my T (if anything it made it temporarily better by calming me down thanks to the anxiolytic effects of nicotine). So I'm certain smoking by itself isn't harmful to T; it's gotta be the PG.

I can't for sure say that it will cause it. You can always make your choice and avoid these environments. Sure, they are your friends, but your well being is more important. Tinnitus gives us new rules in life and we have to do our best to follow them.
