Seemingly Random Tinnitus, Concert Made It Louder

?

Did you know long lasting tinnitus could be a result of attending concerts?

First off, hello everyone this is my first time posting on this forum, I have come across it a few times in a search for some info about my T, and finally decided to post something.

So, First things first, I go to allot of concerts, and listen to music full volume pretty much nonstop (seriously, I fall asleep to death metal not even joking), so it sounds like no question that contributed to my T right?

Well that's what I was thinking at first. I had gone to about 15 shows over the past 2 years, and I thought that after I went to see Glitch mob/the m machine back in october, that maybe it was just building up volume and after that it was finally audible.

But then I started thinking, and realized that although I got generic concert ear the day after the show, and like all the times before it it went away completely. It wasn't until 2 and a half weeks later that I started noticing the ringing.

At first it wasn't too bad (could hear in a relatively quite room, or if I focused), but not knowing all the details about how T worked, I stupidly went to see Story of the Year Dec 5, and it got so much louder. The next show I got smart and was determined to wear ear protection (earplugs that I got form an excision concert yet stupidly didn't wear), but due to a surprise pickup by my friend I left them on my dresser and ended up seeing Cage the Elephant in a ridiculously small venue (little larger than the average bar) with it turned up to 11.

Now the ringing is pretty loud (like a tube TV on about 6 feet away), but I can deal with it, like I said I fall asleep to death metal. Even though I can deal with it just fine, I still would like to know the possibilities of it being permanent? I am DEFINITELY wearing hearing protection to the next concert, and was stupid not to in the past.

I never cared about people talking about hearing damage. I just thought it was things might sound quieter and I might have to turn up the volume a bit. If somebody told me this was a possibility I would never have gone without earplugs.

I had the exact same thing. Ringing/hissing in the ears started 14 days after a concert.

So the ringing does not happen immediately after you leave the concert?

Dude. Take a break from shows for a bit. Your T is still young but you need to rest .

Yes same for me. Noticed hearing loss next day, but the T started creeping in 2 weeks later.

Don't go to concerts again. And protect your hearing....They should have warnings about tinnitus when you go to them.

A couple friends went to Tomorrowland a while ago, it is a techno festival with ridiculously over the top loud beats 3 days long, and I warned them to wear earplugs, they looked at me as if I was from another planet. Some old grandpa.

At the festival they hand out free earplugs to anyone that wants them but noone seems to think it is needed, earplugs are stupid they say,but you know what's stupid? tinnitus because you did not wear them !

They should inform people about tinnitus, how are we meant to prevent this!?

Yes, you only hear about hearing loss, rarely about tinnitus.

I just feel horrible having something which is common but unheard of. I feel alone inside.

So my girlfriend just gave me a fine blowjob on the couch and my tinnitus went thru the roof for a moment (and me too!). Is this somatic tinnitus as well? WTF does it have to do with my ears?

But did she hear it over the other noises?

      Seriously? Blood pressure.

      Lol, no she didn't.

And yes, this must be a blood pressure issue.
