Self Indulgent Tale of Woe

Ok so I am a rotten no good teacher who gets waaaaaaaaay too much time off and yes, I am in the midst of one of those times.

Two days before the break we have a family emergency so we cancel our spring break vacation and my wife heads off to look after her parents. Such is life, we did what we needed to do.

Now today, I have the furnace people in to do a service and check and we discover that we have a cracked heat exchanger and the furnace is spewing out crazy levels of carbon monoxide. Fix it or replace it. I chose replace it, as the furnace we have has been nothing but a pain in the butt since we move in.

Just waiting for the third shoe to drop.
